Sprouted moong
Procedure : soak green sprouts for 1 whole day.
Filter water and keep in dark place or on hotpot or casserole or cooker unheated
You see the sprouts.
Roasted channa (chenagapppu) laddu :
chenuga pappu - 1 cup
sugar 1 cup
Melted Ghee
Powder roasted channa and sugar
Procedure : Melt the ghee and make them laddu
Chimbili :
Sesame seeds
Jagree
Procedure : Clean sesame seeds , jagree and Grind both sesame and jagree and make the laddus
Navapazham / Jamuns if available
note : Prefer buying brown sesame seeds
Celebrate the festival with different kids of fruits and coconut .
Idea : Made my kids draw an image of snake and decorate it.

Thoranam :
Apply Turmaric to thread with 9 stings for adults and 5 knots little kids
Count with the people in the family and one for God.

- outer layer rice flour cooked with little salt ,oil and water
Stuffing :
- mix grated coconut and sugar over heat and mix well.
- make sure it comes to sticky consistency
Steam kotlukattu
Thalika la papravannam :
Make little balls with the outer layer of kolu kattu
and steam it.
Mix it with milk and sugar / jagree
Uddunta
Soak thuvar dal over night and grind with red chillis, salt and a piece of coconut
pour in to idli plate and steam it.

Note : Stuffing to kolukattu can be made few day earlier even Thoram and Korjanjam can be prepared ahead.
Celebrate the pooja count of 9 turmaric stems, 9 betel leaves , fruits including all prasad 9 counts.
