Thappalam








Drumstick -1 cup
Bottle guard-1 cup
Mango-1 cup
Potato-1 cup
Jagree-2 Tbsp
Asafotida-1/4 tsp
Fenugreek seeds-1/4 tsp
Salt -as req
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Tamarid paste-2 Tbsp
Onions-2
Oil- as req
GreenChillies-4-5 slit
Curryleaves-few
Tomato-6

Method:
* Heat water in a heavy bottomed pan. Add Potato, drumstick, bottle guard, mango, tomato, onion, green chillies, and cover till the veges are nearly cooked.
*Add tamarind paste,salt to taste and mix well .Boil for few more minutes.
*Add jagree and allow it to dissolve when the gravy becomes thick switch off the gas.
*In a pan , heat oil.
*Add mustard seeds
*When it splutters add asafotida ,fenugreek seeds and saute.
*Add torn curry leaves and when it becomes crisp add this to the kozhambhu and mix.
*Serve hot with hot rice and papad/mixture
