Soft Gulab Jamun

Gulab Jamun








Ingredients:

Jamuns:
Gulab Jamun mix - 2 cups
Ghee - 1/2 tsp
water - 1/2 cup
oil - as req

Sugar syrup:
Sugar - 3 cups
water -3 cups

Procedure:

  • Mix jamun powder (MTR) with water (by pouring little by little) to a soft dough
  • Coat the dough with ghee (to avoid stickyness and to get a good taste)
  • Make the dough to very small balls giving very less pressure (so that the balls are easily get cooked inside as well )
  • Fry the balls in oil and take them when they turn good golden brown in medium flame.
  • In the mean time, on the other side/burner of the stove, keep a pan with 3 cups of sugar and 3 cups of water and let it melt for 20 to 25 mins in medium flame.
  • Drop all the balls in to the sugar syrup and let it rest for around 30 mins and then serve.
