Sojja Pindi and Sesame chutney
Ingredients
Thuvar dhal 1/4 cup
Rice 3/4 cup
water 1: 1.5
oil
red chillis -1 or 2
urad dhal - 1 tsp
channa dhal - 1 tsp
Procedure
Wash and Dry both Thuvar dhal and rice to corse consistency.
Add little oil and fry with red chillies , Channa dhal and urad dhal.
Add water to the consistency proportioned. ie one cup rice ,1.5 cup water.
As water boils mix the rice powder adding salt in water.
Mix well.
Pressure cooks for 1 whistle.
Sesame chutney
Ingredients:
sesame seeds 1/2 cup
red chillis
salt
Tamarind small piece
Procedure
Take sesame seed on a plate (I always chose brown sesame
seeds). Clean them carefully.
Fry them on slow flame and grind to paste with tamarind and salt with little water.
Do not grind to flowing consistency.
Garnish with mustard seed and red chili.
Note:
This dish tastes good with this chutney specially.
Even South Indian Rasam tastes good.
